Full Job Description

Seeking a skilled Title Examiner to join our growing real estate team. Must have experience. This position plays an important role in reviewing title searches, analyzing property records, and typing and finalizing title reports and policies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate title examination and title insurance, with proven experience reviewing property records and identifying issues that may affect ownership or closing. This role requires excellent analytical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously.

Responsibilities

Review title searches and determine chain of title
Examine deeds, mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, and other recorded documents
Identify title defects, encumbrances, and ownership issues
Prepare title commitments and related documentation
Work closely with attorneys, lenders, and real estate professionals to resolve title matters
Ensure compliance with New York title standards and recording requirements
Finalizing title insurance policies

Qualifications

Prior title examining experience required
Strong understanding of real estate transactions and title procedures
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines simultaneously
Strong communication and problem solving skills
