Event & Donor Relations Coordinator

Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center is seeking an organized, energetic, and relationship-driven Event & Donor Relations Coordinator to support our Mission and Marketing team. This position plays a key role in planning fundraising events, engaging donors, supporting community partnerships, and ensuring the day-to-day operations of the office run efficiently.

Position Summary

The Event & Donor Relations Coordinator provides administrative and operational support for the Medical Center's fundraising and donor engagement activities. This position coordinates fundraising events from planning through execution, maintains donor records, supports event committees, and serves as a liaison between the Medical Center, donors, sponsors, volunteers, and community partners.

The Coordinator also oversees the daily administrative operations of the office while providing administrative support to the Vice President of Marketing, Planning & Communications. This role is instrumental in helping cultivate donor relationships that support the Medical Center's mission of providing exceptional healthcare to our community.

What You'll Do

Coordinate fundraising events from concept through successful execution.
Manage event logistics including vendors, venues, registration, catering, volunteers, signage, and event materials.
Serve as staff liaison to event committees by scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, recording minutes, and tracking action items.
Oversee daily administrative operations of the office.
Provide administrative support to the Vice President of Marketing, Planning & Communications.
Maintain donor information and gift records within the CRM database.
Process donations, sponsorships, event registrations, invoices, and donor acknowledgements.
Partner with the Finance Department to reconcile donations and event revenue.
Coordinate donor stewardship activities, recognition, and appreciation efforts.
Assist in cultivating relationships with donors, sponsors, volunteers, physicians, and community partners.
Prepare fundraising reports, donor activity reports, and event summaries.
Ensure donor information remains accurate and confidential.
Help identify and share grateful patient stories that highlight the impact of philanthropy at Memorial.

Qualifications

Required

Associate degree in Business, Communications, Nonprofit Management, Event Management, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Preferred

Bachelor's degree.
Experience coordinating fundraising events or nonprofit programs.
Experience with donor CRM systems such as Bloomerang or similar software.
Healthcare or nonprofit experience.
Knowledge of fundraising, donor stewardship, and sponsorship development.
Familiarity with the Niagara region and surrounding community.

ABOUT NIAGARA FALLS MEMORIAL MEDICAL CENTER

Founded in 1895, Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center (NFMMC) has a long tradition of serving the Niagara community. NFMMC’s hospital and primary stroke program are accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Health Care, and its primary care network is accredited by the National Committee for Quality Assurance. Memorial's inpatient services include a cardiac/stroke unit, a medical-surgical unit, an ICU, a Labor and Delivery unit, and an Adult Inpatient Psychiatry unit, the only one of its kind in Niagara County. Memorial serves as a Center for Community Health by operating five primary care centers, a large outpatient adult mental health clinic, a Health Home, and several innovative community-based services. Thanks to a partnership with Catholic Health, Kaleida Health, and Erie County Medical Center, NFMMC operates the only cardiac catheterization laboratory in Niagara County. Memorial is also home to the Golisano Medical Oncology Center, which operates in collaboration with Roswell Park Comprehensive Care Center.
