Status: Hourly non-exempt

Benefits:

Starting pay for this role is $17.00 - $21.00 per hour, actual starting pay will depend on experience.

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our member services team. This role involves managing member relationships, engaging with members to provide exceptional service, processing various financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. They will play a key role in supporting new members accounts, fraud prevention, and overall relationship management to foster member trust and satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for members via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Greeting and welcoming members to the credit union in a courteous, professional, and timely manner, providing prompt, accurate, and effective service.
Process cash or check withdrawals, US mail and night drop transactions, verify deposit amounts, examine checks for proper endorsements and enter deposits into computer records.
Manage member relationships by providing personalized service and addressing inquiries related to banking products and services.
Maintains up-to-date and comprehensive knowledge of all credit union products and services.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations and industry standards during all transactions and processes. Maintaining comprehensive knowledge of related policies and procedures, rules and regulations for the teller area.
Help members with inquiries with credit union services such as loans, share certificates, debit and credit cards, online banking, bill pay, share drafts etc.
Maintaining up-to-date information on all members of the credit union, including address, phone numbers, email addresses etc.
Demonstrate the ability to handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently. Balancing cash drawers throughout the day. Process checks received, research and resolve any discrepancies. Report any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
Preform clerical tasks such as quality control, scanning, and filing.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous teller, sales or cash handling experience
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)

Work Environment

Must be able to sit and/or stand for an extended period in a normal office environment.
Occasional lifting required.

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
