About Pinewood Dentistry and Implants

Pinewood Dentistry and Implants is a privately owned, comprehensive dental practice with locations in Cumming and Sandy Springs.

We combine advanced technology with thoughtful, relationship-based care. Our services include comprehensive general dentistry, same-day CEREC restorations, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, airway-focused treatment, and complex restorative care.

We believe in understanding why dental problems occur—not simply repairing the next thing that breaks. We value quality, professionalism, attention to detail, and doing what is right for the patient.

We are not trying to see the greatest possible number of patients each day. We want the office to run smoothly, the team to communicate well, and every patient to understand the care being recommended.

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused Dental Treatment Coordinator for our growing Cumming office.

This is not primarily a receptionist or check-in position. The person in this role will help patients understand their treatment recommendations, navigate financial decisions, schedule appropriate next steps, and move confidently forward with care.

The ideal candidate will also have leadership potential. We are looking for someone who can learn Pinewood’s systems and culture, take ownership of results, improve communication, and grow into broader front-office or location leadership over time.

Management responsibility is not automatically assigned on the first day. It is an opportunity earned through performance, judgment, consistency, and cultural alignment.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

Meeting with patients to review recommended treatment
Helping patients understand treatment priorities and next steps
Presenting fees, insurance estimates, and financial arrangements
Explaining third-party financing and payment options
Helping patients overcome logistical and financial barriers to care
Scheduling treatment while coordinating appropriate appointment length and provider availability
Following up consistently with patients who have unscheduled treatment
Tracking treatment-plan activity and helping improve case acceptance
Maintaining accurate financial notes and documentation
Communicating patient questions and concerns to the appropriate doctor or clinical team member
Creating smooth handoffs between doctors, clinical team members, and the front office
Helping patients feel informed rather than pressured
Monitoring scheduling opportunities and helping protect the clinical schedule
Assisting with checkout, collections, account questions, and other front-office responsibilities when needed
Helping improve front-office systems and patient communication
Supporting accountability and follow-through within the team

Depending on experience, the coordinator may also assist with:

Insurance estimates and benefit interpretation
Larger restorative, implant, Invisalign, cosmetic, or comprehensive cases
Third-party financing applications
Accounts-receivable follow-up
New-patient conversion
Schedule analysis
Team training
Front-office process development
Daily leadership and location-level accountability

Experience

Previous dental treatment-coordination or dental front-office experience is strongly preferred.

Ideal experience includes one or more of the following:

Presenting dental treatment plans
Discussing fees and financial arrangements
Coordinating comprehensive or multi-visit treatment
Dental-insurance estimates
Third-party financing
Accounts receivable or collections
Unscheduled-treatment follow-up
Dental scheduling
Front-office leadership
Office-management responsibilities

Experience with larger restorative, implant, cosmetic, orthodontic, or comprehensive treatment plans is especially valuable.

A college degree is not required. We care more about communication, ownership, judgment, reliability, and demonstrated professional growth.

Advancement will be based on demonstrated results, cultural alignment, team leadership, and the ability to improve systems—not simply length of employment.

Schedule

Monday: 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., with lunch from 1:00–2:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Thursday: 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m.

There are no regularly scheduled weekends.

Initial training, leadership meetings, or occasional team support may take place at our Sandy Springs location. Candidates should be willing to travel between locations when necessary.
