Practice Development & Expansion Manager

Midwest Institute for Nonsurgical Therapy (MINT)
Full-Time | Hybrid/Remote with Travel
Salary: $110,000–$135,000 + Performance Bonus

About the Role

Midwest Institute for Nonsurgical Therapy (MINT) is a physician-owned specialty medical practice focused on minimally invasive, image-guided treatments, including embolization and vascular procedures.

We are expanding deliberately into new U.S. markets, starting with Chicago, with an anticipated pace of approximately 2-3 new markets per year.

We are seeking a hands-on, highly organized Practice Development & Expansion Manager to work directly with the physician owner and help take each new market from concept to seeing patients.

This is not a traditional sales role or corporate strategy position. It is a practical, execution-focused role for someone who can coordinate the many moving pieces involved in opening and supporting a medical practice in a new market.

Key Responsibilities

Research and evaluate potential new markets.
Identify and evaluate clinic space, medical-office subleases, timeshare opportunities, OBLs, ASCs, hospitals, and other potential facility partners.
Coordinate business registrations and other new-state requirements with attorneys, accountants, and outside advisors.
Manage timelines for physician and provider licensing, hospital privileges, facility credentialing, and payer enrollment.
Work with credentialing companies and internal staff to track Medicare and commercial insurance applications.
Help recruit physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinical staff.
Coordinate interviews, onboarding, licensing, credentialing, and anticipated provider start dates.
Manage practical launch logistics including travel, lodging, vehicles, equipment, supplies, IT, vendors, and opening schedules.
Maintain a master expansion dashboard with deadlines, budgets, outstanding items, responsibilities, and risks.
Follow up consistently with attorneys, brokers, recruiters, hospitals, payers, credentialing companies, vendors, and internal staff.
Support new locations through launch and the first several months of operations.
Between launches, assist with future market evaluation, provider recruitment, facility opportunities, partnerships, and other practice-development projects.

What You Will Own

You will be the central point person responsible for keeping each expansion project moving.

You will not be expected to personally serve as the attorney, credentialing specialist, recruiter, or real-estate broker. Instead, you will coordinate these resources, maintain the timeline, identify problems early, and make sure tasks are completed.

You should be comfortable determining what needs to happen, identifying the appropriate resources, organizing the work, following up persistently, and bringing important decisions to leadership.

Qualifications

4–7+ years of relevant experience in healthcare operations, physician-practice management, practice development, clinic implementation, project management, ambulatory operations, or a related field.
Strong project-management and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple vendors, deadlines, and workstreams simultaneously.
Excellent follow-through and attention to detail.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Comfortable communicating with physicians, hospitals, attorneys, brokers, recruiters, insurance companies, and other healthcare organizations.
Ability to work independently in a small, entrepreneurial, physician-owned organization.
Willingness to travel as needed.

Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following is strongly preferred:

Opening new medical or healthcare locations
Multisite physician practices
ASCs or OBLs
Interventional radiology, vascular, or cardiovascular practices
Provider licensing and credentialing
Hospital privileging
Healthcare real estate
Physician or advanced-practice-provider recruiting
Dental, oral surgery, medical aesthetics, urgent care, infusion, dialysis, or other multisite healthcare organizations

Direct experience in every area is not required. We are looking for someone who is resourceful, learns quickly, and takes ownership.

Compensation

Base Salary: $110,000–$135,000, depending on experience
Performance Bonus: Approximately 10%–15% based on agreed-upon milestones

Location and Travel

This role may be hybrid or primarily remote depending on the candidate.

Travel will be required for site visits, facility meetings, provider meetings, and active launches.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
