Front Desk Sales Associate

Our center buzzes with exciting programs, leagues, camps, and events that bring people together, foster friendships, and create unforgettable moments. Job Overview

We're seeking a friendly, helpful Front Desk Associate to be the welcoming face of our center. You'll handle check-ins, support daily operations, assist with special events, and actively drive sales – all while thriving in a fun, fast-paced environment. This full-time role (40 hours/week) offers an hourly rate of $18-25, depending on experience, plus commission pay based on sales transactions like memberships, packages, camps, and tournaments. No prior table tennis knowledge required – just enthusiasm for helping people have a great time and closing deals!

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service Excellence: Greet guests with a smile, assist with check-ins/check-outs, handle inquiries and complaints gracefully, and escalate issues to management when needed. Master phone and in-person communication to make every interaction positive and efficient.
Sales and Enrollment: Enroll guests in memberships, sell new packages, register kids for Seasonal Kids Camps, and drive tournament enrollments to boost engagement and revenue.
Daily Operations: Perform opening and closing procedures, maintain a tidy and organized front desk, and follow daily checklists to keep things running smoothly.
Event and Program Support: Manage registrations for Tuesday Night Challenges and summer camps, support special needs groups with empathy and care, and handle reporting for events.
Inventory and Maintenance: Restock the pantry and vending machines, and get trained on our T-shirt printing machine to create custom merch for our players.
Tools and Systems: Use our POS system (Square) for sales, registrations, and payments; handle customer calls via our phone system; communicate through email (Gmail), Whatsapp, and other tools; access Google Drive for file management; and get an overview of our MindBody booking system.

Qualifications and Skills

Friendly, outgoing personality with a willingness to go beyond basic duties – think helping a senior find the perfect paddle, cheering on a kid's first win, or confidently pitching a membership upgrade!
Strong communication and sales skills for phone, email, in-person interactions, and closing enrollments.
Ability to multitask in a fun, energetic setting with diverse guests, from recreational families to pro competitors.
Basic computer skills; experience with POS systems or sales tools is a plus but not required – we'll train you!
Reliable, detail-oriented, and committed to cleanliness and organization.
Availability for 40 hours/week, including some evenings and weekends to match our buzzing schedule.
