CNC Milling Set-up Machinist

RevZero is a growing, FDA-regulated medical device manufacturer in Chanhassen, Minnesota. We specialize in custom medical device components, assemblies, and implantable orthopedic devices. Our clients range from regional companies to well-known global brands.

We operate a clean, 100% climate-controlled facility appealing to medical device clients.

We seek a Milling Set-up Machinist for Haas, Mazak, and Willemin CNC machines, but we won’t exclude experience with other machine brands.

The type of person we are looking for is one who has a strong understanding of 5 axis machining and a mindset for continuous improvement. They’re a self-starter who can inspect their own parts, coordinate closely with QC, and be comfortable in a collaborative shop environment.

Our CNC setup machinists configure machines so that operators can run production independently. Supported by our Programming, Engineering, and Quality Control teams, each setup ensures that every part meets clear, detailed specifications.

Location: Chanhassen, MN

Schedule: Full-time 8-hour 1st shift 5-day week Monday thru Friday 6:00am- 2:30pm

Overtime is usually available

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements- H.S. Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Two-year certificate in machine trades or two years of experience in CNC Set-up
Monitoring and maintaining tight tolerances
Some knowledge of Vision Systems, CMM and various hand inspection tools
Good command of spoken and written English

Job Functions:

Setting up and Operating CNC Machines
Understanding dimensional and GD&T print specifications to perform real-time inspections
Making machine offsets and touching off or changing tools before any product fails to pass inspection
Verifying set-up parts with microscopes, calipers and micrometers, gaging, vision systems and CMMs, including documenting the results
Working efficiently with minimal supervision
Performing scheduled machine maintenance as directed
Committing to personal health and safety practices that protect you and others from injury
Identifying opportunities for improvement and bringing them to your team for action.
