A caregiver calls out.

Another employee is asking for more hours.

A client needs coverage.

And before most people have finished their first cup of coffee, you've already rearranged three schedules and prevented a coverage problem.

Legacy Home Care is looking for an experienced Staffing Coordinator who understands what it takes to keep a large field-based caregiving workforce organized, staffed, and moving.

We're not looking for someone who has simply scheduled patient appointments.

We're looking for someone who has been responsible for scheduling employees to provide care and understands the constant communication, problem-solving, relationship management, and persistence that comes with it.

You Won't Be Starting From Scratch

You'll work with a workforce of 150+ caregivers and field employees, developing relationships with team members and understanding their:

Availability
Preferred hours
Geographic preferences
Client compatibility
Schedule limitations
Desired workload

The common denominator is simple:

You have personally scheduled healthcare employees to cover client, resident, or patient care needs.

If your scheduling background has primarily involved scheduling patients for appointments, procedures, clinic visits, or provider appointments, this particular position would not be the right match.

What You'll Own

As a Staffing Coordinator, you'll help ensure our clients have the right employees providing care at the right time.

You'll:

Coordinate complex employee schedules across multiple clients and geographic areas.
Staff caregivers and other employees based on availability, qualifications, client needs, and location.
Develop strong working relationships with a workforce of 150+ staff members.
Respond to call-offs and work quickly to secure replacement coverage.
Identify staffing gaps before they become larger problems.
Communicate frequently with employees regarding schedules, availability, and coverage needs.
Balance employee preferences with client care requirements.
Maintain a high-touch communication approach with employees, clients, families, and the Care Team.
Use EMR and scheduling technology to maintain accurate employee and client information.
Help keep day-to-day home care operations running smoothly.

The Best Staffing Coordinators Are Part Scheduler, Part Problem-Solver, Part Relationship Manager.

Anyone can look at an open shift.

A strong Staffing Coordinator knows who to call to fill it.

You remember who asked for additional hours.

You know who prefers a certain geographic area.

You build enough rapport with employees that they'll actually answer when you need help.

And when five things change at once, you can prioritize what matters without losing your patience.

That ability is exactly what we're looking for.

What We're Looking For

Required:

Previous healthcare employee staffing experience.
Previous responsibility for scheduling caregivers, CNAs, HHAs, nurses, DSPs, PCAs, or other healthcare employees.
Experience managing a high volume of employee schedules and staffing information.
Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
Exceptional patience and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple staffing needs simultaneously.
Confidence communicating with a large employee workforce.
Strong computer skills and experience with scheduling systems and/or EMRs.
Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and applicable state and federal requirements.

Home care staffing experience is strongly preferred.
