About Kai Wagyu

Kai Wagyu is a premium butcher shop and nationwide eCommerce brand specializing in authentic Japanese Wagyu, premium seafood, and curated gourmet products under the Chubby Group umbrella.

We're a small but growing team focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience both in-store and online. We're looking for someone who enjoys taking ownership, staying organized, and helping a growing business operate smoothly every day.

If you're dependable, proactive, and enjoy being part of a team where your work truly matters, we'd love to meet you.

What You'll Do

Welcome and assist customers with a friendly, professional attitude
Educate customers on our Wagyu and seafood products (training provided)
Recommend products, bundles, and seasonal promotions
Build lasting relationships with repeat customers

Retail Operations

Open and close the store
Receive, organize, and restock inventory
Maintain clean, organized, premium product displays
Keep the store operating efficiently throughout the day
Help identify operational improvements and solve problems proactively

Online & Administrative Support

Pack and prepare online orders accurately when needed
Assist with customer service emails and phone calls
Help process online orders and administrative tasks
Support inventory organization and product management

Team Support

Communicate with team members to keep daily operations running smoothly
Take initiative rather than waiting to be directed
Help train and support new team members as the company grows

We're looking for someone who is dependable, organized, and enjoys taking ownership.

The ideal candidate is:

Friendly and professional with excellent customer service skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Reliable with strong attendance and punctuality
Comfortable working independently and making good decisions
Proactive and willing to solve problems
Able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Interested in growing with a small business

Retail, grocery, hospitality, restaurant, or customer service experience is a plus, but we are happy to train the right person.
