Job Overview

Join our dedicated team as an In Home Caregiver, where you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals in their own homes. Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene to ensure comfort and dignity.
Monitor patients’ health status by observing vital signs, medication adherence, and overall condition; report any changes to healthcare professionals promptly.
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding to support dietary needs and preferences.
Support mobility and transfers using patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or manual handling techniques to promote safety.
Maintain accurate care plans and document client progress, medication administration, and incident reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation, especially for clients with dementia or neurodevelopmental disorders.
Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment to promote health and hygiene.

Requirements

Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities support, or senior care environments such as nursing homes or assisted living facilities.
Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, first aid, CPR certification, and HIPAA compliance.
Familiarity with specialized care for Alzheimer’s disease, dementia care, memory care, hospice care, and home health services.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers using appropriate equipment like Hoyer lifts.
Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams.
Valid certifications in first aid and CPR; additional training in autism spectrum disorder (ASD), neurodevelopmental disorders, or geriatrics is preferred.
Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends; reliable transportation is essential.
