Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will bring artistic flair and precision to the creation of beautifully decorated baked goods, ensuring each cake meets our high standards of quality and presentation. Your enthusiasm for pastry arts and dedication to food safety will help delight our customers and elevate their special moments. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a love for baking, cake decorating, and delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Duties

Decorate cakes, pastries, and baked goods with intricate designs, fondant, icing, and other decorative elements to create visually stunning desserts.
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in flavor, texture, and appearance across all baked items.
Prepare cakes and pastries by mixing ingredients, baking, and assembling components according to established culinary standards.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace by adhering to food safety protocols and sanitation procedures throughout all stages of food production.
Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, piping tools, and decorating supplies safely and efficiently.
Package finished products carefully to preserve quality during storage and transportation.
Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with custom cake orders and offering product recommendations when needed.

Requirements

Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, or food production within a bakery or food industry setting.
Strong skills in cake decorating techniques including piping, fondant work, and creative design implementation.
Knowledge of food handling safety standards and food safety management practices.
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely while maintaining a clean workspace.
Basic math skills for measuring ingredients accurately and managing inventory.
Excellent attention to detail combined with the ability to work efficiently under pressure during high-volume production periods.
Good communication skills for collaborating with team members and assisting customers effectively.
Culinary experience with baked goods or pastry arts is highly preferred; knife skills are a plus.
Familiarity with food industry regulations related to food safety and hygiene practices.
