We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Loss Prevention Investigator to help protect our people, assets, and brand.

Job Summary:

As a Loss Prevention Investigator, you will be a valued team member in ensuring the safety of our customers and employees, preventing theft, and protecting company property. Your focus will be on reducing shrink through active monitoring, investigation, and enforcement of company loss prevention policies.

Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Monitor store activity through surveillance systems and physical walkthroughs to detect theft, fraud, or safety/health violations.
Monitor adherence to internal policies and procedures, and recommend improvements to minimize shrink and risk.
Conduct investigations into internal and external theft; document findings and support resolution.
Collaborate with Loss Prevention Director, corporate office, store management, and law enforcement when necessary.
Conduct audits in high-loss departments.
Deter theft through visible presence and engagement strategies.
Respond professionally to incidents, emergencies, and suspicious activity, including detainment of suspects if necessary.
Maintain and prepare detailed records and reports of incidents and investigations with supporting evidence to assist in prosecution or internal resolution.
Support the execution of store safety programs and compliance with safety protocols.
Conduct special investigations and/or audits, as needed.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding investigations, records, and sensitive information.
Able to work in Menlo Park and Los Altos locations.

Qualifications:

2 years of college courses related to this position is preferred, or the equivalent work experience in Loss Prevention or Law Enforcement.
Ability to recognize and respond to suspicious behavior and theft indicators.
Familiarity with CCTV systems, POS monitoring tools, and alarm systems.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and de-escalation skills.
Ability to handle sensitive situations with discretion and professionalism.
Capable of staying calm and making decisions in high-pressure scenarios.
Physically able to stand, walk, and respond quickly throughout the store.
Understanding of basic legal procedures related to theft and detainment.
Maintain a professional and working relationship with local law enforcement.
Proficient in report writing and computer skills.
Attention to details.
Reliable and punctual.
