Position

The Contracts Manager is responsible for independently managing U.S. Government contracts, product orders, and commercial agreements in a DoD-focused, technology-driven environment. This hands-on role supports and oversees the full contract lifecycle, from contract formation and negotiation through administration, performance modifications, and closeout. The position is responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable FAR, DFARS and other regulatory requirements while mitigating contractual risk and protecting the Company’s intellectual property rights and business interests. The Contracts Manager serves as a key contracts resource to program, engineering, supply chain, finance and leadership teams and works directly with government customers, prime contracts, subcontractors and other business partners. : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned. · Manage the full lifecycle of U.S. Government contracts including DoD, SBIR/STTR, and subcontract, product orders, and commercial agreements from proposal through closeout.

· Review solicitations, awards, and modifications to assess contractual risk, compliance requirements, and business impact.

· Draft, review, and negotiate, NDAs, subcontracts, bailment agreements, consulting agreements, and commercial terms and conditions.

· Lead proposal and pre-award activities including RFP review, representations and certifications, and subcontract arrangements

· Identify and manage FAR/DFARS requirements and contractual flowdowns to subcontractors and suppliers.

· Partner with program management, finance, supply chain, and engineering to ensure contract compliance and execution.

· Advise internal stakeholders on contractual obligations, risk mitigation, intellectual property, data rights, and confidentiality requirements

· Maintain contractual documents and ensure accurate and complete records.

· Support internal and external audits and ensure compliance with applicable government regulations and Company policies.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following:

· Contract Expertise - Strong working knowledge of U.S. Government contracting, FAR/DFARS, and intellectual property data rights.

· Communication & Negotiation - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear contractual language, negotiate effectively, and maintain productive relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.

· Judgment & Problem Solving - Exercises sound business and contractual judgment; identifies risks and develops practical solutions that balance compliance, customer requirements, and Company interests.

· Attention to Detail - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in reviewing and managing complex contractual documents, requirements, and obligations.

· Collaboration & Influence - Works effectively across functions and provides clear, practical guidance to program management, finance, supply chain, engineering, and leadership.

· Independence & Accountability - Takes ownership of responsibilities, meets commitments, manages competing priorities, and works effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

· Computer Skills - Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced with contract management, ERP, or other business systems

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in business management, law or related field, or equivalent experience.

· 5-9 years of experience managing DoD contracts.

· US Person or US Citizenship required.

· Ability to hold US security clearance, if required

· NCMA certification, preferred
