Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable, friendly, and highly organized Patient Services Representative to join our growing healthcare team. The ideal candidate is an experienced medical office professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment, provides exceptional customer service, and is committed to delivering an outstanding patient experience. This position plays a key role in the daily operations of the practice by supporting providers, patients, and fellow team members.

Essential Responsibilities

Greet patients professionally and provide exceptional customer service.
Answer incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
Check patients in and out while ensuring all required documentation is completed.
Verify insurance eligibility and patient demographics.
Obtain and process referrals and prior authorizations.
Perform medical billing and coding duties accurately and efficiently.
Work with multiple insurance carriers
Collect copays, deductibles, and patient balances.
Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
Process medical records requests while maintaining HIPAA compliance.
Communicate effectively with providers, coworkers, insurance companies, pharmacies, and referring offices.
Assist with administrative projects and office workflow as needed.
Maintain confidentiality of all patient information.
Follow all HIPAA, OSHA, and office policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical office preferred.
Experience with medical billing and coding.
Experience processing referrals and insurance authorizations.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Experience working with insurance plans
Experience using electronic medical record (EMR/EHR) systems
Experience using EPIC is a plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent certification is a plus.
Experience in a specialty medical practice is preferred.

Paid Time Off

Eligible employees may receive:

9 Paid Holidays

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday 8 AM-5 PM

Salary Range: $50,000-$55,000 per year
