Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a versatile and proactive Part-Time Shop Floater to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience with various power and hand tools. As a Shop Floater, you will play a crucial role in supporting multiple departments, ensuring smooth operations across the shop floor.

Responsibilities

Proficient in multiple stages of the powder coating process.
Pre-treatment/Preparation: Cleaning, degreasing, masking, or sandblasting parts before coating.
Hanging/Racking: Properly hanging parts on the conveyor line for coating.
Powder Application: Operating manual or automatic powder coating guns, ensuring even coverage.
Curing/Baking: Loading/unloading parts from ovens.
Inspection/Quality Control: Checking finished parts for defects or proper coverage.
Packaging/Shipping: Preparing completed parts for delivery.
General Labor/Cleanup: Assisting with general shop maintenance, cleaning booths, or organizing materials.
Collaborate with team members to maintain an efficient workflow throughout the manufacturing facility.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery as needed.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to manufacturing processes and equipment operation.

Qualifications

Proven experience working in a manufacturing facility or factory environment is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues.
Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, and assembly techniques is essential.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Excellent communication skills to effectively coordinate with various departments.
A commitment to safety standards and practices within the shop environment.
