Position Summary
We are seeking experienced and dependable fence installation subcontractor crews to perform residential and commercial fence installations, repairs, and related site work. Subcontractors must be capable of completing projects safely, efficiently, and according to company standards while maintaining professional communication with customers and office staff.
This position is ideal for skilled fence crews with experience in wood, aluminum, chain link, vinyl, steel, specialty material, and custom gate systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Install residential and commercial fence systems according to project specifications and layout plans
- Read and understand work orders, drawings, measurements, and site layouts
- Perform site preparation, post setting, framing, gate installation, and hardware installation
- Ensure all fences and gates are level, plumb, secure, and fully operational
- Load, transport, and unload materials and tools safely
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Conduct final walkthroughs with customers when required
- Communicate job progress, delays, or material shortages to the office
- Take completion photos of finished work
- Follow all company installation standards and safety procedures
- Complete punch list or callback items if necessary
- Protect customer property during installation
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of fence installation experience preferred
- Experience installing: wood fencing, chain link fencing, aluminum fencing, vinyl fencing, and gates and gate hardware
- Ability to read tape measures and layout dimensions accurately
- Ability to use power tools, augers, saws, levels, and hand tools
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Professional appearance and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Own truck, trailer, and installation tools
- Crew members already established
- Welding and custom gate fabrication experience
- Specialty material installation
- Ability to perform minor repairs and troubleshooting in the field
Requirements
- Must have always at least one English-speaking crew member on site for communication with customers, office staff, and project managers
- Must comply with all local safety and jobsite regulations
- Must be capable of lifting 75+ lbs
- Must pass background screening if required for certain projects
