Full Job Description

Job Summary:

Posana is seeking an experienced and inspiring General Manager to lead daily operations at our fine dining restaurant. This role is responsible for upholding the highest standards of hospitality, food and beverage service, and team performance. The General Manager will ensure an exceptional guest experience while overseeing front-of-house and back-of-house coordination, financial performance, staff development, and adherence to brand and service standards.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of management experience in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments.
Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage high-performing teams.
Deep understanding of hospitality best practices and fine dining service standards.
Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Passion for food, wine, and elevated guest experiences.
Proficiency in Toast POS system and Microsoft Office/Pages (Mac)/Google Workspace tools.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
ServSafe and alcohol service certifications (or ability to obtain).

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage daily restaurant operations to ensure excellence in guest experience.
Oversee FOH and BOH teams, fostering collaboration, accountability, and high morale.
Hire, train, schedule, and evaluate staff; implement ongoing development and coaching.
Maintain and enforce service and hospitality standards appropriate for a fine dining environment.
Monitor financial performance: labor, food and beverage costs, P&L analysis, inventory control.
Partner with the Executive Chef and Beverage Director to support menu development and execution.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and labor regulations.
Handle guest feedback with professionalism, turning challenges into opportunities.
Create and maintain operational systems for efficiency and consistency.
Lead by example in delivering gracious, intuitive, and anticipatory service.
