Full Job Description

Lighthouse Keeper’s Pantry

Kitchen prep full time year round with Benefits

The role includes a range of tasks from early morning preparation of menu items including chopping, slicing meat, making sandwiches & salads, cleaning dishes. Also, this position is included in daily tips allotment.

Required: at least 1 weekend day, start time of 5:30am if required.

Ability to work independently as part of a team. Self starter who is organized and tidy. Must be able to lift up to 50lbs, handle stairs and work on your feet.

Availability: must be able to work 40 hours a week year round

Duties include but not limited to-

Preparing recipes and ingredients for a range of café foods such as sandwiches, slicing meats, and salads
Cook predetermined items in industrial oven
Staying on top of Dish washing, cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils and equipment, mopping and trash removal
Assist in receiving of orders and origination of supplies

Required-

Great communication skills
High level of attention to detail and cleanliness of kitchen
Problem solving skills
Enthusiasm to develop your skills and knowledge
Adaptable to change and willing to embrace new ideas and processes
Ability to work unsupervised and deliver quality work
Positive and approachable manner
Team player
Must be comfortable using a meat slicer and chopping food
Serve safe certification desired but not required.
