Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Kitchen Manager / Cook to lead our culinary team and ensure the delivery of exceptional food experiences. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, from food preparation and menu planning to team supervision and food safety compliance. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for culinary excellence, strong leadership skills, and a comprehensive understanding of food industry standards. Duties

Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, chefs, and support personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment
Oversee daily food production activities, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes
Manage inventory control and food ordering processes to minimize waste and optimize costs
Ensure strict adherence to food safety sanitizing procedures, health regulations, and sanitation standards across all kitchen areas
Plan menus in collaboration with culinary staff, incorporating dietary requirements and customer preferences
Coordinate catering events and banquet services, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service
Monitor shift operations, manage scheduling, and oversee training programs for new team members
Implement cost control measures while maintaining high standards of food quality and service excellence

Qualifications

Proven experience in food service management, including restaurant or catering environments with banquet experience preferred
Strong supervisory skills with demonstrated success in managing teams as a chef or kitchen leader
Extensive culinary experience with expertise in food preparation, fine dining techniques, and menu planning
Knowledge of inventory management, inventory control, and food handling best practices
Familiarity with food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and HACCP standards
Experience in managing dietary departments or specialized dietary needs is a plus
Excellent leadership abilities combined with effective communication skills
Ability to thrive in fast-paced settings while maintaining attention to detail and quality standards
Knowledge of hospitality principles, including serving techniques and customer service excellence
