MetroLagoons transforms everyday life into a vacation. With five resort-style lagoons across Florida, guests enjoy thrilling water adventures, swim-up bars, cabanas, and community events—creating spaces where families connect, friends celebrate, and every visit feels like a sun-soaked escape filled with fun, relaxation, and unforgettable memories.

JOB SUMMARY:

The cook is the face of food and beverage to our guests. Working in a food truck environment, this person will prepare and serve limited menu items using ovens, deep fryers, and other prep items.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Clean, organize, stock, and maintain stations with all required supplies
Prepare ingredients for service, including tasks such as chopping vegetables, making pizzas, assembling sandwiches, preparing sauces, etc.
Thoroughly clean the station and manage leftover food appropriately
Maintain inventory levels as needed
Ensure that dishes are served simultaneously, meeting high-quality standards, and adhering to timely service
Adhere to sanitation regulations as well as safety and appearance guidelines
Ensure proper food safe temperatures, utilizing thermometers and logs
Keep up-to-date on all food ingredients and follow internal policies referring to food allergies
Follow and report on instructions provided by the management team
Maintain a professional and positive demeanor while interacting with coworkers and customers

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

HS Diploma or equivalent
At least 18 years of age
Food & Beverage Safety certifications (we will provide training/certification if needed)
Outstanding communication, customer service, and cash handling skills preferred
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Experience using Focus or other POS a plus
Energetic, enthusiastic, and reliable
Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Shifts may vary based upon business needs
Ability to work outside in all-weather elements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. if needed

You must be able to work indoors in a high-temperature environment while standing for extended periods of time.

This position is located inside a food truck where temperatures and humidity can be extreme. In addition, you will be exposed to heat, cold, rain, etc. outside the truck while still on property.
