About the Role

We are a growing residential construction company seeking an experienced Bookkeeper who enjoys working in a small business where no two days are the same.

This is a blended role: approximately 50% bookkeeping and 50% administrative/project support, working directly with the owner. You will help keep financials organized while also supporting day-to-day operations and project needs.

ResponsibilitiesBookkeeping (50%)

Accounts payable and receivable
Bank and credit card reconciliations
Job costing and expense tracking
Vendor payments and account management
Financial recordkeeping and reporting
Support CPA with year-end and tax prep

Administrative / Project Support (50%)

Work directly with the owner on daily operations
Source and price building materials
Communicate with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors
Assist with scheduling and project coordination
Organize records and documentation
Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and documents
Research products and business solutions
Learn and use new tools, including AI, to improve efficiency
Support wherever needed to keep projects moving

Qualifications

3+ years bookkeeping experience (required)
Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and software
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
Construction or job costing experience is a plus
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and dependable
Comfortable working closely with ownership
Willing to learn new systems, tools, and AI technologies
Flexible, positive attitude in a fast-paced environment
