Full Job Description

Full-Time Remote Patient Scheduler

Capital Dermatology of NC is seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Patient Scheduler to join our growing team. This is a full-time remote position for someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service.

As the first point of contact for many of our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience while ensuring our providers' schedules are optimized.

Position Details

Position: Full-Time Patient Scheduler
Location: Remote
Schedule:Tuesday –Friday 8 am - 5 pm
Employment Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

Answer incoming phone calls professionally and courteously.
Schedule, reschedule, and cancel patient appointments accurately.
Verify patient demographics and insurance information.
Communicate appointment policies, preparation instructions, and office procedures.
Coordinate provider schedules to maximize efficiency.
Respond to patient inquiries and direct calls appropriately.
Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
Manage appointment waitlists and fill cancellations promptly.
Assist with patient recalls and follow-up scheduling.
Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of medical scheduling or medical receptionist experience preferred.
Dermatology experience is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong multitasking and organizational abilities.
Comfortable using EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated, quiet home workspace.
Professional phone etiquette with exceptional customer service skills.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
