We take pride in serving a relaxed yet elegant atmosphere where guest can savor our carefully prepared sushi, nigiri, and Japanese inspired dishes.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head Chef to lead the culinary direction of M Izakaya. This role is ideal for a chef with deep expertise in Asian cuisine and sushi. and a commitment to consistency, leadership, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Develop and refine diverse menus that highlight creativity, seasonal ingredients, and customer preferences while maintaining cost efficiency
Lead, supervise, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure smooth daily operations and high-performance standards
Oversee food production processes, ensuring consistency, quality, and presentation across all dishes served
Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective food management practices
Enforce strict adherence to food safety regulations and sanitation standards to guarantee a safe dining environment for guests and staff
Coordinate with catering and banquet teams to plan large-scale events, ensuring timely preparation and flawless execution
Implement shift management strategies to optimize staffing levels during peak hours and special events
Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with meticulous attention to detail and presentation

Skill

Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments
Proven supervising experience in fast-paced kitchen settings with team management responsibilities
Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar culinary role within fine dining or Japanese cuisine establishments
Knowledge of banquet operations, catering services, and dietary department requirements
Expertise in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management practices
Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to motivate and develop team members
Proficiency in inventory management, inventory control, and cost analysis for food production
Familiarity with food safety protocols, HACCP standards, and food handling procedures
Experience in restaurant management including menu planning, shift scheduling, and service coordination
Ability to thrive under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food service delivery
Hospitality-oriented mindset with a passion for serving exceptional culinary experiences
