Full Job Description

Casa Grande, AZ

Empowerment Life Services, LLC group homes is looking for responsible adults desiring opportunities to help with the physical, emotional, educational and spiritual needs of foster kids, ages 10-17 years old in group homes. The children may have behavioral/mental health issues due to their background of abuse and/or neglect and the goal is to provide a safe and healthy environment.

The House Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the residential housing program for individuals with behavioral health needs. This role ensures the provision of safe, supportive, and well-maintained housing environments while fostering client recovery and independence. The House Manager coordinates staff, manages the house, and ensures compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Facility Management:

Ensure the house meets safety, cleanliness, and maintenance standards.
Conduct regular inspections and coordinate repairs or improvements as needed.
Maintain accurate records of property conditions, maintenance schedules, and inventory.
Develop and implement house rules and emergency procedures.

Client Support and Engagement:

Facilitate client intake, including orientation to the facility and review of house rules.
Work with clinical staff to ensure clients' housing needs are met as part of their overall care plans.
Mediate conflicts among residents and ensure a harmonious living environment.
Provide resources or referrals for additional support services, such as job training, counseling, or community integration programs.

Staff Management:

Recruit, train, and supervise residential staff, including, maintenance personnel, and support staff.
Schedule and oversee staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing coaching or training.
Provide on-call coverage as needed

Compliance and Reporting:

Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations governing residential facilities.
Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
Prepare and submit required reports, including incident reports, and program outcomes.
Stay updated on best practices in behavioral health care.

Budget Management:

Manage the program budget including operational expenses.
Monitor and allocate resources efficiently to ensure sustainability.

Education and Experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in social work, Psychology, or a related field preferred, will consider experience in lieu of education.
2. At least 5 years of direct behavioral health experience required.
3. At least 2 years of management experience required.
4. Experience with diverse population preferred, including individuals with mental health challenges.
5. Strong communication, interpersonal, and crisis intervention skills.
6. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds and experiences.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must PASS DRUG TEST
25+ years or older
Bachelor's degree preferred
Must possess Fingerprint Clearance Card
1 year experience working with youth
CPR/First Aid Certified
Valid drivers license, NO DUI, minimal offenses
Pass pre-employment physical and physical abilities test
Will need TB test and Physical
Must be able to lift 50 lbs
