Overview

Join our dynamic team as an Accounting Assistant and become a vital part of our financial operations! In this energetic role, you will support the accounting department by managing essential clerical and administrative tasks that keep our financial processes running smoothly. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and proactive attitude will help ensure accurate record-keeping and efficient workflow. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced office environment while contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities

Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks
Manage and organize files, invoices, receipts, and other financial documents with precision
Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including processing payments and tracking outstanding balances
Answer multi-line phone systems professionally, providing excellent customer service and client communication
Handle front desk duties, including greeting visitors, managing appointments, and maintaining office management tasks
Prepare spreadsheets, reports, and correspondence using Microsoft Office tools like Word and Excel
Coordinate calendar management and schedule meetings for the finance team or administrative staff
Perform general clerical duties such as proofreading documents, filing records, and ensuring data accuracy
Support office management activities to enhance productivity and streamline daily operations

Requirements

Proven office experience with strong computer literacy and technical proficiency in productivity software
Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is highly preferred
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
Strong typing skills, attention to detail, and proofreading abilities to ensure accuracy in all documentation
Effective phone communication skills with professional phone etiquette and customer support experience
Bilingual abilities are a plus for client communication and team collaboration
Prior clerical or administrative experience, including front desk or personal assistant roles, is desirable
Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
Knowledge of spreadsheets, word processing, filing systems, and calendar management tools
Demonstrated organizational skills combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving
