Job Overview

· Company: Superior Insurance Agency

· Role: Experienced Personal Lines Insurance Producer

· Position Type: Full-time, In-person

· Location: St. Ignace, MI 49781 (Commute or relocation before starting required)

· Compensation: Base salary varying on experience with Competitive Commission Structure

Key Responsibilities

· Client Management & Acquisition: Proactively assess complex personal lines risks, design tailored coverage solutions, and maintain a high retention rate through exceptional, prompt service.

· Carrier Relations & Underwriting: Leverage existing industry knowledge to navigate carrier appetites, build strong relationships with underwriting partners, and ensure profitable risks are placed accurately.

· Agency Integration: Play a key role in maintaining stability and continuity during the transition of the newly acquired St. Ignace office, serving as a trusted, knowledgeable point of contact for local clients.

· Professional Leadership: Stay ahead of shifting carrier guidelines and industry trends, working independently with high autonomy while collaborating seamlessly with the broader agency team.

Requirements & Qualifications

· Experience: Minimum 2–3+ years of proven success in personal lines insurance sales or service (Required).

· Licensing: Active Michigan Property & Casualty license (Required). Active Life Insurance license is a strong plus.

· Technical Expertise: Strong proficiency in standard industry Agency Management Systems (AMS), comparative raters, and Microsoft Office/Excel.

· Core Competencies: Proven relationship-building skills, advanced critical thinking, strict ethical conduct, and the ability to efficiently self-manage workflow and priorities.
