Job Summary

Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Medical Scribe, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing clinical efficiency and ensuring accurate documentation. In this fast-paced position, you will collaborate closely with healthcare providers to transcribe and manage electronic health records (EHR) and electronic medical records (EMR), supporting seamless patient care delivery. Your expertise will help uphold the highest standards of health information management, regulatory compliance, and patient confidentiality. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop specialized skills in medical documentation while contributing to exceptional healthcare experiences.

Responsibilities

Accurately transcribe physician-patient interactions into electronic health records (EHR) or electronic medical records (EMR), ensuring clarity and completeness.
Assist healthcare providers by capturing detailed clinical notes, including patient history, exam findings, diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
Maintain strict adherence to clinical confidentiality policies and healthcare privacy protection regulations while handling sensitive patient information.
Manage medical records efficiently, ensuring proper organization, storage, and retrieval in compliance with health information regulatory standards.
Support revenue cycle management by documenting procedures, coding medical services accurately, and facilitating billing processes as needed.
Utilize EHR systems proficiently to update patient data, verify information accuracy, and ensure compliance with health regulation policies.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing provider needs promptly and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.

Experience

Prior experience working in a medical office environment or with health information management is highly preferred.
Familiarity with EHR systems and EMR/EHR management tools is essential for success in this role.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, medical coding practices, and clinical confidentiality policies is required.
Demonstrated understanding of health regulation policies related to healthcare privacy protection and regulatory compliance is advantageous.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for documentation support and record keeping tasks is beneficial.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple records efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
Customer service experience within a healthcare setting will help foster positive interactions with providers and patients alike.
