Reports To: Staff Accountant
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (one-hour flexible lunch)

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our team. This is a hands-on role where you'll handle the day-to-day accounts payable work, process all customer payments, manage the QuickBooks Online bank feed, and keep our records accurate and up to date. Outside of that, you'll take on some general office responsibilities, including ordering supplies.

Our Serviceworks is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Clerk to join our growing team. This role supports day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, billing, and basic general ledger activities.

The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and comfortable managing their workload while supporting different areas of the business as needed. Curiosity about AI is a huge plus!

What You'll Do

Handle the day-to-day accounts payable process: entering, coding, and scheduling vendor invoices for payment
Process all customer payments accurately and on time
Manage the Quickbooks Online bank feed: categorizing, matching, and recording transactions
Support accounts receivable and billing activities
Manage the shared accounting inbox and respond to vendor and customer inquiries professionally
Perform account reconciliations and verify data accuracy
Learn and work across multiple software systems (QuickBooks Online, Extensiv, and more)
Handle general office responsibilities, including ordering supplies and coordinating occasional maintenance issues

What You Bring

QuickBooks Online experience required, including hands-on experience managing the bank feed
Accounts payable experience required
Comfortable processing payments and handling sensitive financial information securely
Strong organizational skills and attention to details
Strong written and verbal communication with professional phone and email etiquette
Quick to learn new software systems
Able to multitask and prioritize
Reliable, self-directed, and comfortable wearing multiple hates
Basic Excel skills (sorting, filtering, simple formulas)

Compensation

$20-$22 per hour, depending on experience
