Duties
Assist lead painters with surface preparation including cleaning, sanding, caulking, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
Handle a variety of hand tools, power tools, and spray equipment such as paint sprayers, airless sprayers, brushes, rollers, and conventional spray systems.
Support the application of coatings on diverse surfaces like walls, ceilings, trim, stucco, masonry, and structural components.
Help interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately execute painting tasks aligned with project specifications.
Prepare construction sites by masking areas, setting up scaffolding or ladders safely, and ensuring all safety regulations are followed.
Assist with renovation projects by performing tasks such as plastering, drywall finishing, fixture installation, and basic carpentry including trim carpentry and framing.
We also do Cabin Restauration, so we need people will in to sand wood logs.
Maintain a clean work environment by properly storing tools and disposing of waste materials following safety protocols.
Experience
Previous experience in construction painting or related fields such as renovation or maintenance is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided.
Familiarity with construction site safety regulations including respiratory protection and fall prevention measures.
Knowledge of color theory and surface preparation techniques for residential or commercial painting projects.
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including airless systems), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding setup.
Ability to interpret technical drawings or schematics and perform basic math calculations for measurements and mixing paints.
Experience working on construction sites or in industrial environments with an understanding of blueprint reading and schematic interpretation is advantageous.
A proactive attitude towards safety protocol adherence combined with strong teamwork skills will ensure success in this role.
