AFH Resident Manager

Jarvie Adult Foster Homes Salary Non-Exempt · Full-time $2,800 first month (with a raise to $3,000/month for the right fit)

This isn't a job where you sit on the sidelines. You'll live onsite, become a familiar and trusted face, and play a central role in the daily lives of up to five individuals with mental illness. You'll cook meals, coordinate care, celebrate small wins, and be the steady presence that makes a house feel like a home.

What you'll do

Live onsite and be available for residents
Plan and prepare meals for residents
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home through regular housekeeping and yardwork
Manage and administer medications per orders, ensuring residents always have what they need on hand
Coordinate resident appointments with prescribers, case managers, therapists, and other care partners
Support residents in building daily living skills that increase their independence and confidence
Complete and maintain required records including activity logs, medication records, progress summaries, and more
Report any concerns — resident wellbeing, injuries, incidents, or maintenance issues — to the AFH Administrator within 24 hours
Implement emergency procedures and disaster plans as needed
Interact professionally with county and state officials, case managers, and all care partners

Stay calm and grounded when situations get difficult
Take pride in a well-run home — the meals, the cleanliness, the routines
Hold a valid Oregon driver's license, reliable transportation, and can pass a DHS background check
Have caregiving or mental health experience

This is a live-in position. You'll reside onsite and be available to residents. The work is woven into daily life — which means it's deeply rewarding in a way most jobs simply aren't.
