A Day in the Life

As an Assembly Technician, you’ll play a vital role in building high-quality products by assembling and disassembling components into subassemblies or finished units. You’ll work with a variety of tools and equipment to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability in every part you handle.

Assembly Technician Key Responsibilities:

Assemble and disassemble components using hand tools, jigs, fixtures, and machines.
Perform tasks such as drilling, pressing, testing, fitting, filing, and storing parts.
Conduct visual and manual inspections to ensure quality and proper alignment.
Record production data, scrap, and maintain accurate documentation.
Set up, operate, and adjust machinery and equipment as needed.
Interpret technical drawings and routing sheets; perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) when required.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Properly package and label any hazardous waste generated in your area.
Provide and maintain your own set of hand tools.

What Will Help You Thrive in This Role?

Ability to sit or stand and perform repetitive tasks for up to 8 hours.
Full use of both hands, with the ability to walk, hear, and see clearly.
Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. from floor to waist and vice versa.
Ability to climb steps and occasionally lift items exceeding 65 lbs.
Flexibility to meet physical demands that may occasionally exceed standard requirements.
