What You'll Be Doing
Depending on your experience and area of expertise, responsibilities may include:
Machine Shop & CNC
- Operate CNC mills, CNC lathes, and other machining equipment
- Load and unload raw materials and finished components
- Assist with machine setups, tooling changes, and production adjustments
- Read blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Use calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
- Inspect finished components for quality and accuracy
- Perform deburring, finishing, and other secondary operations
- Monitor production and identify machining or equipment issues
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Production Assembly
- Assemble components and products using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
- Perform light assembly and soldering
- Follow technical documents, assembly instructions, and product specifications
- Inspect finished products for quality and specification compliance
- Troubleshoot minor assembly issues
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities
- Pack, label, and prepare products for shipment
- Receive incoming materials and verify quantities and accuracy
- Maintain an organized and safe workspace
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- Report equipment malfunctions or safety concerns
Engineering & Product Testing
- Support development, testing, validation, and launch of automotive performance products
- Perform real-world vehicle validation testing
- Troubleshoot mechanical, hardware, software, and product issues
- Identify, reproduce, document, and communicate defects
- Evaluate product and software updates and validate corrective actions
- Assist with vehicle testing, dyno preparation, and testing procedures
- Coordinate test vehicles and testing logistics
- Work with engineering, software, firmware, calibration, and technical support teams
- Develop technical documentation and testing records
- Support product launches and vehicle platform expansions
CAD & Product Design
- Create detailed 3D models and production drawings using SOLIDWORKS
- Take measurements and translate concepts into production-ready designs
- Design custom automotive components and instrument solutions
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams
- Support prototype development and product refinement
- Identify and resolve design and manufacturing challenges
- Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines
What We're Looking For
We're interested in candidates with a variety of technical, manufacturing, and production backgrounds, including:
- Manufacturing, production, or machine shop experience
- CNC machine operation or setup experience
- Assembly or light manufacturing experience
- Mechanical or automotive experience
- CAD or product design experience
- Engineering technician or engineering support experience
- Automotive performance or aftermarket experience
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions
- Experience with hand or power tools
- Experience with precision measurement tools
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to learn new tools, technologies, and processes
Preferred Qualifications
Depending on the position, experience with the following is a plus:
- CNC mills or lathes
- Blueprint and technical drawing interpretation
- Calipers, micrometers, gauges, and precision measurement
- SOLIDWORKS or other CAD software
- Soldering or electronic assembly
- Automotive diagnostics or vehicle tuning
- Data logging, scan tools, or vehicle communication systems
- Embedded automotive electronics
- Dyno or vehicle testing
- Machining, fabrication, or manufacturing
- Shipping and receiving
- Inventory management
- Automotive performance products
- Custom vehicle or hot rod projects
- Product development or prototype work
