Job Description:

Riley, Pope and Laney has an immediate opening for a legal assistant to fill a full-time on-site position in our Matthews, NC office. The ideal candidate will be a team player, detail-oriented, organized, flexible, self-motivated, self-managed, have excellent written and verbal communication skills and eager to develop their legal office skills in fast-paced legal environment. The position requires a basic knowledge of Windows Operating System, Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn client websites and Case Management Software.

General Job Duties include, but not limited to:

Data entry
Draft letters and documents
Monitor files
Communicate with clients
Work independently in a self-managed environment
Miscellaneous duties as needed

Requirements:

High School Diploma
1 – 2 years office experience
Detail-orientated
Willing to learn and grow
Ability to work with others

Preferred qualifications:

Legal office experience
