Here at Orion Group, we look for a talented Shipping Coordinator, who is looking for the chance to grow with our multinational pharmaceutical manufacturing client.

The main purpose of the Shipping Coordinator is to coordinate and manage the shipment of materials from the company to other sites and collaborators. Ensuring compliance with company guidelines and transportation regulations.

Shipping Coordinator

$31-$33/hr

10:00am-7:00pm Monday-Friday.

Worcester , MA

1 year initial contract.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and manage the shipment of materials from the company to other sites and collaborators, ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines.
Prepare and review shipping documents, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs documentation.
Communicate with internal and external partners, including freight forwarders and carriers, to schedule and track shipments, ensuring on-time delivery.
Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including tracking numbers, delivery confirmations, and any relevant documentation.
Monitor and manage inventory levels of shipping supplies, such as boxes, labels, and packing materials, ensuring adequate stock is maintained.
Identify and resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to find timely solutions.
Stay up-to-date with relevant shipping regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices, ensuring compliance and continuous improvement.
Assist in the development and implementation of shipping-related policies, procedures, and standard operating protocols.
Provide regular reports and updates to management on shipping activities, including metrics, performance, and any potential risks or opportunities.

Requirements of the position:

2-4 years experience as a Shipping Coordinator or similar, preferably in a pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
Associate's or Bachelors degree required.
Proficient in using shipping software and systems, such as: FedEx, UPS, or DHL, to schedule and track shipments.
Proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite: (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
Continuous standing for prolonged periods (more than 2 consecutive hours in an 8-hour day)
SAP Experience
Data tracking/Warehouse system
Ability to lift 50lbs
Experience with sample processing in a regulated field such as biologics is a plus!

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $31.00 - $34.00 per hour
