Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Production and Router Operator specializing in CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machinery. In this role, you will be responsible for operating, programming, and maintaining CNC equipment to produce high-quality components efficiently and accurately. Your expertise in machine operation and precision measurement will ensure that production standards are consistently met. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and productivity are top priorities.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and CNC routers to produce precision parts according to technical specifications
Program CNC machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and adjust parameters for optimal performance.
Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial gauges, and other measuring instruments to verify dimensions.
Maintain safety standards in production areas by adhering to all safety protocols and operating industrial equipment responsibly.
Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and mechanical tools such as press brake machines, stamping presses, and fabrication tools to ensure continuous operation.
Handle materials safely using forklift or other materials handling equipment; prepare components for assembly or packaging as needed.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues with machinery promptly to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
Read and interpret shop math, technical drawings, and fabrication instructions accurately for efficient production flow.
Support quality control processes by inspecting finished products for dimensional accuracy and surface finish quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, or routers in a manufacturing setting.
Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code or M-code; experience with CAM programming is highly desirable.
Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems.
Mechanical aptitude with understanding of shop math.
Experience with industrial equipment troubleshooting and basic machine maintenance.
Knowledge of safety standards in manufacturing environments; committed to maintaining a safe workplace.
Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse handling equipment safely (certification preferred).
Strong attention to detail combined with excellent problem-solving skills; capable of working independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
