Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver/Med Tech to join our Assisted living and Memory Care Unit, providing specialized support to residents with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other cognitive impairments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in senior care, assisted living, and medical assistance, demonstrating a genuine commitment to enhancing residents' quality of life through attentive, respectful, and personalized care. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where professionalism and empathy are paramount, ensuring residents receive the highest standards of medical and emotional support. Duties

Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity.
Administer medications accurately following prescribed protocols while maintaining detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
Monitor vital signs and observe for changes in health status, reporting findings promptly to nursing staff or medical professionals.
Provide specialized care for residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other memory-related conditions, implementing personalized care plans.
Support residents during meal times, including tube feeding when necessary, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration.
Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding patient confidentiality and handling medical records securely.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care that addresses physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
Document all patient care activities accurately within electronic medical records systems, ensuring clarity and completeness for ongoing treatment.

Qualifications

Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly desirable.
Certification as a Med Tech or similar credential is preferred; relevant caregiving training is required - HCA or CNA.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner for documentation purposes.
Strong understanding of medication administration protocols, catheter care, vital signs monitoring, and tube feeding procedures.
