Sunrise of Philadelphia is seeking a confident, organized, and proactive Site Lead to help lead one of our Out-of-School Time (OST) programs.
This is more than a lead staff position. As the primary on-site leader, you'll oversee daily operations, coach staff, ensure youth safety, solve problems in real time, and help create a positive, high-quality experience for children and families every day. You'll work closely with a Shared Site Director while taking ownership of the day-to-day success of your assigned program.

What You'll Do
As the Site Lead, you'll ensure your assigned program runs safely, smoothly, and consistently every day.
Daily Site Leadership
- Lead daily program operations during assigned hours.
- Coordinate staff assignments, schedules, transitions, meals, attendance, and dismissal.
- Maintain youth-to-staff ratios and respond to operational issues as they arise.
- Serve as a visible leader throughout the program—not behind a desk.
Staff Leadership & Coaching
- Provide daily direction and coaching to Activity Instructors and program staff.
- Conduct staff huddles and communicate daily priorities.
- Monitor staff performance, professionalism, attendance, and preparedness.
- Reinforce expectations while fostering a positive, accountable team culture.
Program Quality
- Ensure engaging, well-prepared activities are implemented consistently.
- Observe instructional groups and provide immediate feedback.
- Support trauma-informed, youth-centered, and culturally responsive practices.
- Help improve program quality through continuous coaching and problem-solving.
Youth Safety & Family Engagement
- Maintain active supervision of youth throughout the program.
- Respond appropriately to behavioral, safety, and medical concerns.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for families during program hours.
- Build positive relationships with school staff and community partners.
Administration & Operations
- Maintain accurate attendance, enrollment, and program records.
- Verify staff attendance and timekeeping.
- Monitor supplies, prepare documentation for compliance reviews, and communicate resource needs.
- Resolve routine operational challenges while escalating more significant concerns appropriately.

QualificationsRequired
- Associate's degree or higher in Education, Child Development, Human Services, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with youth
- Experience in a lead, supervisory, instructional leadership, or similar role
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to provide coaching, direction, and constructive feedback
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced youth program environment
- Proficiency with Google Workspace
Preferred
- Experience in Out-of-School Time (OST), after-school, summer camp, or school-based programming
- Formal staff supervision experience
- Experience with grant-funded or regulated programs
- Knowledge of PBIS and trauma-informed practices
- Bilingual (Spanish/English)
