Davis Diesel is a family-owned marine diesel service company proudly serving boat owners, captains, marinas, and sportfishing vessels throughout eastern North Carolina. We’re looking for a Marine Diesel Parts & Service Writer to join our team in Beaufort.

Working alongside our technicians, customers, and trusted vendors, you’ll coordinate parts sourcing and ordering, prepare estimates, track repair progress, and ensure clear communication throughout the repair process. Your ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and keep projects moving will help deliver the exceptional service our customers have come to expect.
If you have experience in marine, diesel, automotive, truck, heavy equipment, or industrial parts, we’d love to talk with you. Marine experience is helpful but not required. We’re happy to train someone with strong organizational skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to outstanding customer service.

What You’ll Do:
- Source, price, order, and track diesel engine parts from manufacturers and vendors nationwide
- Coordinate with technicians to locate parts and solve sourcing challenges
- Manage shipping, receiving, inventory organization, and staging of incoming parts and shop supplies
- Prepare service estimates and update work orders throughout the repair process
- Communicate repair progress and estimated completion timelines with customers
- Document parts usage and repair changes to ensure accurate invoicing
- Process warranty claims and coordinate with manufacturers as needed
- Assist customers with parts inquiries and occasional retail parts sales
- Work closely with technicians, vendors, and customers to keep repairs moving efficiently
We’re Looking For Someone Who:
- Has previous experience ordering or sourcing parts in the marine, diesel, automotive, truck, heavy equipment, or industrial industries
- Has experience as a Parts Specialist, Parts Advisor, Service Writer, or similar role
- Is highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities
- Communicates professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers
- Is comfortable using vendor websites, Microsoft Office, email, and business software
- Learns quickly and enjoys expanding their technical knowledge
- Takes ownership of their work and contributes positively to the team

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
