Join Our Team

We’re looking for a detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Bookkeeper / Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our growing retail organization. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on QuickBooks experience who enjoys working with numbers, reconciling accounts, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate, up-to-date financial records.

What You'll Do

Bookkeeping & Accounting

Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
Process and apply customer payments accurately across trailer, parts, and service sales.
Record payments received through checks, ACH, credit cards, and wire transfers.
Monitor and manage accounts receivable aging reports.
Research and resolve outstanding balances, payment discrepancies, and unapplied cash.
Support accurate revenue recognition by identifying customer deposits and outstanding payments.
Review, process, and close daily sales transactions across all retail locations.

Reconciliations & Month-end Reporting

Perform daily end-of-day (EOD) point-of-sale reconciliations.
Reconcile daily deposits, including credit card, ACH, cash, and check transactions.
Import and match bank feed transactions in QuickBooks Online.
Investigate and resolve deposit variances, timing differences, and reconciliation issues.
Assist with month-end close activities.
Prepare and post journal entries as directed by the Controller.
Support corporate credit card entries and reconciliations.
Assist with accounting projects, reporting initiatives, and sales tax activities.

What You Bring

Required Skills & Experience

Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Software or QuickBooks Online (QBO) is strongly preferred and will be an important part of this role.
2+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, accounts receivable, or related financial experience.
Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
Experience with bank, credit card, and account reconciliations.
Experience processing payments and maintaining accurate financial records.
Ability to identify, research, and resolve financial discrepancies.
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
Excellent organization and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
Ability to maintain confidential financial information and organized, audit-ready records.

Preferred Experience

QuickBooks Online bookkeeping experience.
Experience with accounts receivable, cash application, or full-cycle bookkeeping.
Experience supporting month-end close.
Experience working with ERP or point-of-sale systems.
EverLogic experience is a plus.
Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is a plus.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred.
Experience working independently while also collaborating with company Controller and accounting team.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
Occasional standing, bending, reaching, and lifting.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds as needed.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
