Job Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and responsible Kennel Attendant to join our team in St. Peters, MO. The ideal candidate will provide excellent care and attention to the animals in our facility, ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for all pets.

Key Responsibilities

Feed, water, and monitor animals according to established schedules and dietary requirements.
Clean and sanitize kennels, cages, and common areas daily to maintain a hygienic environment.
Exercise and socialize animals to promote their well-being and reduce stress.
Assist with intake and release procedures, including documentation and record-keeping.
Observe animals for signs of illness or distress and report any concerns to veterinary staff or management promptly.
Maintain inventory of supplies and notify management when stock is low.
Follow all safety protocols and animal handling procedures to ensure the safety of animals and staff.

Qualifications

Previous experience working with animals or in a kennel environment preferred.
Ability to handle animals of various sizes and temperaments safely and humanely.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform cleaning tasks.
Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to providing excellent animal care.
