Community Action of is a dedicated non-profit organization committed to eliminating poverty by empowering individuals through education, advocacy, crisis intervention, and providing opportunities for self-sufficiency. Our programs include Self-Sufficiency initiatives, VA Housing, Crossroads Healthcare Clinic, and the Farmers Market.

Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Operations and Farmers Market Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational functions of Community Action of Laramie County while serving as the primary manager of the Cheyenne Farmers Market. This position provides leadership in organizational operations, procurement, financial and administrative support, fundraising coordination, and market management to ensure efficient agency operations and the successful planning and execution of one of CALC's signature community programs. This position works collaboratively with agency leadership, staff, vendors, community partners, volunteers, sponsors, and stakeholders to support CALC's mission and strategic goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Operations & Organizational Support

Coordinate agency procurement, vendor contracts, inventory, and operational resources while ensuring compliance with organizational policies and grant requirements.
Develop, implement, and improve operational systems, procedures, and documentation that promote organizational efficiency and accountability.
Coordinate financial operations for assigned programs, including the Farmers Market and marketing initiatives, through budgeting, invoice processing, expense tracking, reconciliations, deposits, and financial reporting.
Coordinate cross-functional projects and provide operational support to leadership, program staff, and organizational initiatives.
Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Farmers Market Management

Serve as the primary manager and operational lead for the Cheyenne Farmers Market and related market events.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of market operations, including vendor recruitment, applications, scheduling, booth layouts, permits, logistics, equipment, financial reconciliation, and day-of-event execution.
Coordinate market setup, teardown, equipment, supplies, signage, CALC booth operations, and seasonal inventory to ensure successful weekly market operations. · Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with vendors, sponsors, venues, city departments, community partners, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
Monitor market performance, financial activity, compliance, customer experience, and operational needs while identifying opportunities for market growth and continuous improvement.
During Farmers Market season, serve as the primary on-site manager for all scheduled markets and related events. Work schedules will be adjusted as necessary to accommodate Saturdays, evening meetings, and other seasonal operational needs.

Financial & Administrative Support

Assist with budget monitoring, financial forecasting, reporting, and reconciliation activities.
Prepare deposits, process invoices, maintain financial records, and coordinate with finance staff to ensure timely and accurate financial management.
Support grant administration through expense tracking, documentation, and operational compliance.

Fundraising & Community Engagement

Support fundraising initiatives through donor database management, sponsorship tracking, event logistics, volunteer coordination, and committee support.
Coordinate operational support for fundraising events and community engagement activities.
Represent Community Action of Laramie County professionally while fostering positive relationships with community partners, vendors, sponsors, volunteers, and the public.

Communications & Asset Management

Coordinate management of operational marketing materials, digital and print assets, templates, and organizational resources in partnership with the Fundraising and Marketing Coordinator.
Support brand consistency and assist with promotional activities for the Farmers Market and other agency initiatives as assigned

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Business/Admin, Public Administration, Finance, Communications, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge of nonprofit funding structures and financial accountability standards.
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Excel, financial software, donor platforms, and database systems.
Strategic Thinking
Project Management
Skilled in media, donor engagement, or fundraising event support.
Ability to coordinate among multiple departments and external partners
