Full Job Description

Job Title: Site Director
Location: Chicago, IL

Job Summary

The Site Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Chicago Children’s Surgery Center, a pediatric dental surgery facility. This role ensures efficient operations, high standards of clinical care, regulatory compliance, and an exceptional patient and family experience.

The ideal candidate has strong experience managing dental or surgical healthcare facilities and brings a data-driven, people-first leadership style. The Site Director works closely with providers, staff, and corporate leadership to meet or exceed performance goals and reports directly to the Director of Operations.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the dental surgery center, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to industry standards
Lead, manage, and support a multidisciplinary team including dentists, hygienists, and support staff
Monitor and evaluate site performance against established goals and KPIs, including but not limited to:
Treatments per GA day
Labor hours per treatment
Referral conversion rate
Provider recruiting and retention
OR utilization rate
Provider and staff satisfaction scores
Compliance and survey readiness
Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and performance outcomes
Train, coach, and supervise staff to ensure they have the skills, tools, and resources needed to deliver excellent care and customer service
Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Manage financial operations, including budget development, expense monitoring, and financial reporting
Partner with the marketing team to support patient acquisition and retention initiatives
Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure proper equipment functionality and supply availability
Ensure the facility is clean, safe, welcoming, and compliant with safety standards
Identify opportunities for growth and continuous improvement and lead implementation efforts
Stay current on industry trends and provide recommendations to senior leadership to maintain a competitive edge

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of experience in dental practice or healthcare facility management
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and motivate diverse teams
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Experience developing and implementing operational policies and procedures
Working knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards
Financial acumen, including budgeting and performance monitoring
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dental practice management software
