Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Family Law Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to advocate for clients navigating complex family law issues, including divorce, child custody, visitation rights, and spousal support. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for justice, exceptional legal research skills, and the ability to manage a diverse caseload with professionalism and empathy. As a Family Law Attorney, you will play a vital role in guiding clients through emotionally charged situations while ensuring their legal rights are protected and upheld.

Duties

Represent clients in family law matters such as divorce, child custody, alimony, and adoption proceedings
Conduct thorough legal research using tools like FastCase to support case strategies
Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and court filings with precision and clarity
Negotiate settlements effectively to achieve favorable outcomes for clients while maintaining professionalism
Prepare for and appear in court hearings, mediations, and trials to advocate on behalf of clients
Collaborate with other attorneys on complex cases involving estate planning, immigration law, or other related areas when necessary
Maintain detailed case files and ensure compliance with all legal administrative requirements

Qualifications

Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
1-2 years experience practicing family law
Strong legal drafting and writing skills with meticulous attention to detail
Excellent negotiation abilities to facilitate amicable resolutions when possible
Prior experience with legal administrative tasks including case management and documentation processes
Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive client interactions with empathy and professionalism
