As a family-owned metal supply company, we serve contractors, fabricators, and industrial customers with a wide range of steel, aluminum, stainless, and specialty metals.

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Bilingual Customer Service Representative to join our Sales Department. This role serves as the first point of contact for customers and is responsible for assisting walk-in and phone customers, assist in preparing quotes, entering sales orders, processing payments, and coordinating with warehouse and fabrication teams to ensure accurate and timely fulfillment.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where outstanding customer service and accuracy are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and assist customers in person and by phone
Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally.
Process sales orders accurately.
Provide pricing, product information, and order status updates.
Resolve customer questions and concerns with professionalism and urgency.
Build and maintain strong customer relationships.

Order Entry & Coordination

Enter orders accurately into system
Confirm material specifications, dimensions, and quantities.
Coordinate with warehouse and fabrication teams to ensure timely order completion.
Follow up on open quotes and customer inquiries.

Payment Processing & Cash Handling

Process cash, credit card, and account transactions.
Verify daily opening cash drawer balances.
Reconcile cash drawer and report discrepancies promptly.
Obtain credit card authorization forms when required.

Administrative Duties

Maintain organized customer files and documentation.
File tax-exempt certificates, signed invoices, and supporting paperwork.
Ensure the showroom and front desk remain clean and professional.

Team Collaboration

Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
Escalate issues to management when necessary.
Support team members during high-volume periods.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of customer service, inside sales, or administrative experience preferred.
Billingual English and Spanish
Strong computer and data entry skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in metal supply, industrial distribution, manufacturing, or construction-related industries.
Familiarity with the system Capstone

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
