Job Overview
Senga Architects is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of professional structural engineering experience, with a strong background in the design, analysis, coordination, and documentation of structural systems for commercial, institutional, residential, and public-sector projects.

This position is best suited for a highly capable professional who can work independently, coordinate effectively with architects and consultants, and provide thoughtful technical guidance throughout all phases of design and construction.

Responsibilities

The Structural Engineer will be responsible for preparing and reviewing structural calculations, drawings, reports, and construction documents for a variety of project types. The role will include evaluating existing conditions, designing structural systems and modifications, coordinating with architectural and engineering teams, responding to RFIs and submittals, and assisting with field observations and construction administration as needed.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing structural scope from concept through completion, communicating clearly with project teams, and providing practical, code-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should have:

Minimum 10 years of structural engineering experience
Professional Engineer license preferred
Strong experience with structural analysis, design, and construction documentation
Familiarity with applicable building codes and permitting requirements
Experience with steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and existing building conditions
Ability to coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, contractors, and clients
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with structural engineering software and AutoCAD/Revit preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently

Position Details

This is a full-time position. Candidates should be comfortable working collaboratively in a professional office environment and participating in project coordination meetings, site visits, and internal reviews as required. Salary is commensurate with with experience, qualifications, technical proficiency, and licensure status. $70,000 - $120,000
