Full Job Description

Overview
Lisle law firm is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary with at least 1-2 years legal experience working as a legal secretary for a law firm. The ideal candidate will provide essential administrative support to attorneys, ensuring the smooth operation of the office and facilitating effective communication with clients. This role requires a strong understanding of legal terminology and procedures, particularly in areas such as Insurance Defense, Medical and Legal Malpractice, and subrogation. ONLY those candidates with legal secretary experience need apply.

Duties

Manage and organize legal documents, including drafting, reviewing, and filing pleadings and motions.
Assist attorneys with case preparation by conducting research and gathering relevant information.
Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate client records and case files.
Provide executive administrative support by scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating meetings.
Facilitate communication between clients and attorneys, ensuring timely responses to inquiries.
Utilize legal software for document management and billing processes.
Conduct document reviews to ensure compliance with legal standards and accuracy.
Maintain an organized filing system for both physical and electronic documents within the law office.

Skills

Strong data entry skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation.
Experience in providing executive administrative support within a legal environment.
Familiarity with legal administrative tasks including document preparation and court filings.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook for efficient office management.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
