Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Controller to join our finance team. The Controller will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing strategic financial guidance. This position requires a strong background in financial management, Construction accounting, budgeting, and analysis, along with proficiency in various accounting software.

Duties

Manage all aspects of accounts receivable and accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate financial transactions.
Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of balance sheets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to support decision-making processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Ensure compliance with (SOX) regulations and maintain internal controls over financial reporting.
Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Prepare annual budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against budgeted targets throughout the fiscal year.
Lead the implementation of financial systems such as Xero to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting capabilities.
Provide leadership to the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience in construction industry
Strong knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting techniques, and financial analysis methodologies.
Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero; QuickBooks.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex financial information clearly to stakeholders.
