About the Role

As a Senior CNC Machinist, you will play a pivotal role in driving manufacturing excellence by transforming raw materials into high-precision components. You will leverage your expertise in complex setups, advanced programming, and process optimization to ensure our production goals are met with superior quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

Execute complex multi-axis setups and live-tooling operations to meet tight tolerances and critical finish requirements.
Optimize machining strategies, including feeds, speeds, and tool paths, to maximize cycle times and extend tool life.
Interpret advanced blueprints and GD&T specifications to establish robust inspection strategies and acceptance criteria.
Lead root-cause analysis for machining defects, implementing corrective actions to ensure continuous process improvement.
Engineer effective work-holding solutions and custom fixtures to enhance production repeatability.
Collaborate with engineering teams on First Article Inspections (FAI) and provide technical guidance on documentation accuracy.
Maintain operational standards by performing preventative maintenance checks and ensuring a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience in CNC machining with a focus on complex setups.
Expertise in CNC controls such as Haas or Fanuc with strong on-machine programming and editing capabilities.
Advanced proficiency in reading blueprints and applying GD&T standards.
Proven ability to troubleshoot machining issues and optimize production workflows.
Experience operating heavy lifting equipment, including forklifts and overhead cranes.

Preferred Skills

Technical certification or completion of a formal machining apprenticeship.
Experience with multi-axis or 5-axis machining centers.
Demonstrated success in mentoring team members and leading technical process improvements.
