Full Job Description

Overview

We are representing a long-established aerospace manufacturer seeking a Cost Estimator to support quoting, pricing, and manufacturing cost analysis activities.

This position works closely with Sales, Engineering, and Production to develop accurate manufacturing estimates for complex engineered products and support new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare cost estimates and pricing quotations for new, redesigned, and modified products
Analyze manufacturing requirements, labor content, materials, and processing methods
Develop cost models where historical pricing data may not exist
Update estimates based on engineering changes, material costs, and manufacturing requirements
Review and interpret:
Blueprints
Technical drawings
Material specifications
Manufacturing documentation
Prepare estimate packages and supporting documentation for approval
Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and sales teams to ensure accurate costing assumptions

What They Need

Manufacturing estimating, quoting, applications engineering, manufacturing engineering, project engineering, or related experience
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple departments
Experience in aerospace, composites, machining, fabrication, tooling, or other technical manufacturing environments preferred
Associate's degree, engineering degree, or equivalent manufacturing experience

They are less concerned about a specific title and more interested in someone who can understand drawings, communicate with engineers and production teams, and build reliable manufacturing cost models.

Pay: $73,586.01 - $91,000.00 per year
