About the Client

We are representing a Cincinnati based client in an Accounting Manager search. The client is a rapidly growing roofing and exterior services platform. Through strategic acquisitions and operational growth, they have expanded from two companies to more than nine operating businesses in a short period of time, with additional acquisitions in process.

As the organization scales toward $100M+ in revenue, they are building a high performing finance and accounting team to support continued expansion, integration, and operational excellence.

This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing company at a pivotal stage and play a meaningful role in shaping the accounting function alongside experienced leadership.

Position Overview

The client is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its growing accounting team, reporting directly to the Controller. This role will play a key role in supporting the month-end close process, maintaining accurate financial reporting, improving accounting processes, and helping scale the accounting function across a growing multi-entity organization.

In addition to supporting core accounting operations, this role will gain exposure to acquisition integrations, purchase accounting, and other strategic finance initiatives associated with a rapidly growing private equity-backed organization.

This is a unique opportunity to join the organization during a period of significant growth and help build scalable accounting processes, reporting, and controls that will support the next stage of the company's evolution.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, hands-on, and thrives in an entrepreneurial environment where processes evolve as the organization grows.

Key Responsibilities

· Support month-end close activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and general ledger maintenance

· Own assigned balance sheet reconciliations and proactively identify, research, and resolve accounting issues

· Prepare supporting schedules and assist with financial reporting, audit support, and internal reporting requests

· Serve as a key accounting resource for the accounts payable, accounts receivable and administrative teams, assisting with coding questions, account classifications, and issue resolution

· Assist with maintaining accounting controls and improving workflows, processes, and reporting efficiency

· Participate in ERP optimization activities and system integrations

· Support accounting operations across a growing multi-entity structure

· Collaborate cross functionally with finance leadership and operational teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information

· Assist with acquisition integrations, purchase accounting activities, and finance-related special projects

· Contribute to special projects and process improvement initiatives as the organization grows

Qualifications

· 5-8 years of progressive accounting experience with increasing responsibility in general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close

· Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes

· Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and solve problems proactively

· Comfortable operating in a fast paced, evolving, and growth-oriented environment

· Advanced Excel skills, including PivotTables, XLOOKUPs, and data analysis required

· Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

· Experience in construction, roofing, home services, or other project-based industries preferred

· Experience working within a multi-location or multi-entity organization is helpful

· Experience with Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Ramp, or similar systems is a plus

· Experience with ERP implementations and integrations is preferred

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required

· CPA certification or progress toward CPA certification is a plus
